The Weekly Pull List

I’m gonna be short and sweet here: It’s The Weekly Pull List. I want to know what YOU’RE reading this week and we’re letting you know what WE’RE reading this week. Super easy, right?

What’s on YOUR Pull List?

Mike Rapin

  • Animal Man #29
  • Fuse #2
  • Marvel Knights: Hulk #4
  • New Avengers #15
  • Sex Criminals #5
  • Uncanny X-Men #19.1
  • Wolverine and the X-Men #2
  • X-Men #12
  • Zero #6

Kind of a big week for me.

I’m on the bus now for Fuse despite the first issue being a bit predictable. It had enough story to keep me wanting for issue two.

And then there’s Sex Criminals. It’s back and I couldn’t be more excited.

X-Men has been kind of disappointing as of late. Like… to the point that I want to drop it. I’m really hoping Brian Wood will step up his game.

Finally, Marvel Knights: Hulk has been a fun trip and I dig it. Honestly well worth the buy for the whole series.

Nick Nelson

  • Avengers World #4
  • Daredevil #1
  • Iron Man #23
  • Ms. Marvel #2
  • New Avengers #15
  • Uncanny X-Men #19
  • X-Men #12

I have to say, I’m not terribly excited about any of my pulls this week. Is this a sign that I should rethink my pull list? Out of this group, Ms. Marvel is definitely the most exciting. I will say I loved the first issue and I cannot wait to see where this is going.

I’m also pretty excited about Daredevil. One of the greatest mistakes I made was not picking up Mark Waid’s Daredevil over the past few years. I’m a big fan of both Daredevil and Mark Waid, so I don’t know what I was thinking. I start correcting that mistake this week.

Finally, Avengers World and X-Men are both on my drop list in the latest Previews order. So, these will be some of my last issues. Honestly, I cannot say that I will miss either one. Avengers World was ok, but just felt like a lot of filler. X-Men just never really took off and now that Kitty Pryde (my favorite X-(wo)man is gone from the series, I see no reason to continue.

Blake Hamilton

  • Shadowman #16

Feels like a rewarding, yet light week for me. I am looking forward to reading the new installment of Shadowman. I really enjoy the tone that has been set for this series that makes it legitimately haunting and eerie to read. Valiant really is just giving the goods with the series.

Paul Jaissle

  • Batman #29
  • Batman and Aquaman #29
  • Daredevil #1
  • Prophet #43
  • Rocket Girl #4

The “Dark City” chapter of Zero Year wraps up in Batman this month. Zero Year has been sort of a mixed bag, but I’m interested to see what Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo have in store for Bruce and company.

Mark Waid and Chris Samnee’s Daredevil was one of my favorite superhero books, so I’m glad to see them return with a new status quo for Matt Murdock.

Prophet is one of the more unique titles Image puts out, and it’s headed toward a grand finale with issue #45. Brandon Graham and company have created a deeply layered and engrossing world with this title that feels like nothing else on the racks these days.

Sadly, I doubt that this issue of Batman and Aquaman will involve Batman taking Aquaman on a space adventure in order to cheer him up.

Attention! And that’s all folks. I can think of anything clever again this week, so here’s a gif.
