post Secret Invasion: X-Men #4

December 3rd, 2008 -- mini-url

If you haven’t already gotten it from reading some of our other posts, we here at DestroyTheCyb.org! are a bit tired of Secret Invasion. Lucky for us, this month ended two of the designated tie-ins made specifically for Secret Invasion, and I have chosen to review one of those two: Secret Invasion: X-Men #4–but just for the record, Secret Invasion: Inhumans #4 was pretty bad ass.

With these final issues, we see not only the beginning of the repercussions of Secret Invasion, but also how badly the Skrulls got beat up (because **spoiler-we already know the Skrulls lose thanks to Captain America #43-spoiler**).

I’ll divulge some spoilers and give you my afterthoughts of this after the break.

Batman #681 Cover

Well, folks, for us Americans, Thursday marks a very momentous holiday: Thanksgiving. Really, it screams what the US is all about. Eating a lot of food and then falling asleep watching football. But it is also the time to spend with family and catch up. And when you get sick of that, you’ll be happy that you bought a ton of comics this week to read instead of talking with Aunt Karen (seriously, I have an Aunt Karen and she’s really weird).

If you’re still behind from the last couple of weeks (I know I am!), this might be a good catch up week. There’s a few gems to look forward to, but still a relatively slow week. This week, I’ve got the death of Batman, the end of some Secret Invasion tie-ins, and the beginnings of the end of the Ultimate X-Men for you. So stick around and see what these 4 titles have in store for you.

Why, hello! Hello! Hello! Welcome back to another amazing and intricate entry of the Weekend Whiz! This week I have a ton of stuff to cover (when one comic is equal to 400 pounds that is! Ha ha!) and I hope you’re as excited as I am! This last week was a good one for comics and I had my chance to sit down and read so many! But enough with the wackiness, let’s get back to business. Here’s what I’ll be covering this week:

Now that’s a mix of Marvel comics I like to see! Let’s begin!

**spoilers and speed to be expected after the break**

post Tuesday Twist-offs — Miss anything last week? (8/13/08)

August 19th, 2008 -- mini-url

Filed under: Tuesday Twist-offsMike Rapin @ 9:44 pm

In case you happy-go-lucky kids are interested, I want to try and wrap up some of last week’s comics for you. Why? Because I forgot to do it on Sunday (Weekend Whiz) and mainly because I like to think in the back of my head that someone out there likes to read mini-reviews.

I want to cover a lot, so let me smear the boogers out of my nose real quick and get this instant-twist-off-winner series of reviews started before it’s over.

Lightning fast reviews for you:

And we’re off! Gotta love all those Secret Invasion stories!

**spoilers, as always, after the break**
