Ultimate Fantastic Four #60

Ultimate Fantastic Four #60

An undeniably slow week in the comic world this week. While many of you will be picking up plenty of issues of your favorite series which are in the middle of the arc, there’s very little new stuff starting up. So, you may be buying a lot, but there’s not much new or exciting stuff to point out. Nevertheless, I’ve complied 4 books (all Marvel, sorry) that you might want to take a look at when you visit the shop this week.

Ultimate Fantastic Four #60

So, it’s the last issue. Pretty much the only thing that makes this worth noting. Truthfully, the series has gone down hill lately and Ultimatum hasn’t really done much to make it better. But, still, being that it is the final issue, it is worth noting here.

Why, hello! Hello! Hello! Welcome back to another amazing and intricate entry of the Weekend Whiz! This week I have a ton of stuff to cover (when one comic is equal to 400 pounds that is! Ha ha!) and I hope you’re as excited as I am! This last week was a good one for comics and I had my chance to sit down and read so many! But enough with the wackiness, let’s get back to business. post NYX: No Way Home review

Yeaaaa boi! Marvel comics brought back NYX and I’m gonna lay it on the line for all ya’ll readers out there yo!

But seriously, hell-to-the-yes. I picked up NYX: No Way Home #1 today and I was pretty impressed. Going from the previous series written by Joe Quesada which, if you really ask me, was pretty damn sweet (I read the TPB about a year and a half ago), I wasn’t sure if the new writer–Marjorie Liu–was going to continue the coolness and “street punk” factor of the previous series that made it so original. In the end, she managed to keep the coolness but didn’t quite grasp the wholeness of the “street punk” factor.

**some spoilers and more after the break**
