Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. #33 cover
Iron Man: Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. #33 aka War Machine: Weapon of S.H.I.E.L.D. #33 debuted this past Wednesday and finally Secret Invasion has hit Marvel’s mighty “leader” of the subtly hated American government right where it hurts. If you’ve been keeping up with Secret Invasion you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about, but for those who haven’t, turn away now or forever hold your tongue.
This month’s Iron Man took a swing into a new area featuring none other than the War Machine himself, Jim Rhodes. If you’ve been keeping up with Avengers: The Initiative, you’ll remember that good ol’ Rhodey is out at Camp Hammond working with the Fifty-State Initiative in Stamford, Connecticut. And this is where the issue begins.
**spoilers and some possible whining after the break**
