Yeah, it’s serious business with Deadpool. This issue was the last in a small arc (3 issues) that ties into all of this Dark Reign stuff. The tie-in isn’t so much tied in like every other comic where the Dark Avengers simply show up and try to kick the hero’s ass, but instead it’s just one of the Dark Avengers: Bullseye.
If you didn’t know, Bullseye and Deadpool have a bit of history. They’ve worked together in the past, they’ve fought in the past, but now… it’s the final battle… because Norman Osborn wants Deadpool gone (If you’re not sure why, see also issues #1-4 of Deadpool). Of the three issues, this last issue tops the other two in the arc by far.
In case you missed it last month, we were left with a big ass battle that ended with Deadpool kicking Bullseye’s ass via a sickle through the back out the front. Mind you, Deadpool did rock a bad ass meat suit, but it all ended with Deadpool appearing pretty damn victorious.
More after the break… (spoilers abound)

 Deadpool #3 cover
Yes, the title of this post was meant to be written that way. Yes, Deadpool kicks some ass in Deadpool #3 issue. And I know I didn’t do a full review the last issue, sorry guys. All of these are questions I’m sure you wish you could ask me. It’s okay, I know what you’re thinking.
Moving on, I can only say that this issue is setting up something huge for Deadpool. So huge that it came out of left field and I didn’t care. Usually I complain about the things that ended this issue, but you know what? I laughed so much reading this issue I can’t complain because I put my full trust in this series into the hands of the mighty Daniel Way and the powerful Paco Medina knowing they will not fail me, or you, in providing an outstanding comic.
But enough with the ass kissing, let’s move on to what you all came here for…

 Deadpool #1 cover
When I read Cable & Deadpool back whenever (well, probably just after I read Civil War and all of the tie-ins) I was blown away at how amazingly hilarious Deadpool was, especially coupled with a character like Cable. Before I had read that series, I was on the edge with Deadpool. I had read a comic here and with him and he always seemed lame and too wacky to be even close to funny, but given Cable & Deadpool, I was hooked on the idea (and secretly hoping for it months before it was announced) that Deadpool was getting his own series. Mind you, this series is coming out of nowhere–as most comics containing Deadpool usually do–and right in the middle of Secret Invasion, but even still, Wolverine: Origins writer Daniel Way hit this first issue right on the nose with it’s great mix of comedy and well thought out story.
**more fun and some spoilers after the break**

 Ghost Rider #26 Cover
I talked briefly about Ghost Rider #26 in my weekly preview this week, mostly because I wanted to feature a really good book that we don’t often talk about. To this end, I decided to go ahead and write a full review of Ghost Rider because a new (and ultimately important) arc is starting this week.
Fans of old school Ghost Rider (not me) will instantly recognize the main character of this month’s issue as Danny Ketch, the former Spirit of Vengeance and brother to our current Rider, Johnny Blaze. This arc has been previewed as the epic return of Danny Ketch and will also contain (in the second part, I believe) a battle between Blaze and Ketch. Sounds pretty damn sweet to me, and I don’t even know who the guy is.
My full review after the break.
