 Captain America #50 Cover
I’d like to preface my review of Captain America #50 by stating that I not only love what Ed Brubaker has done with Captain America, but I pretty much love everything that Brubaker does. I can’t say for certain, but I’m pretty sure I am buying everything that the man puts out right now. As you’d expect, I was stoked for Captain America to come out this week. Yeah, it’s a landmark issue at #50, but I didn’t expect it to be too mind-blowing, as the Cap crew will be celebrating the 600th issue next month. Still, despite Brubaker likely saving up his best for June’s big issue, I still expected 50 to continue in the great tradition of Brubaker’s run. Not only that, but at $3.99 with a few extra pages, issue 50 appeared to be a nice, big, juicy Bucky-Cap adventure. Sadly, I was gravely disappointed almost from the first frame.
I’ll tell you why Brubaker failed to impress after the break.

 Captain America #42 Cover
Since issue #26 of Captain America, we have been deep within the epic Death of Captain America mega-arc. Covering three parts and 18 issues, Ed Brubaker has crafted one of the greatest comic book stories of the modern generation. This month, The Death of Captain America comes to a close and firmly plants Bucky as the new Captain America. You can think of this issue as finally closing the era of Steve Rogers, as sad as that may be.
Last month, you may remember, Captain America saved third-party candidate Gordon Wright from being assassinated by the Red Skull’s daughter, Sin. And of course, Sharon Carter is trying to escape from the Skull’s clutches. All the while, Falcon and Black Widow are coming to rescue Carter.
It is all very epic and I’ll review this final chapter in The Death of Captain America after the break.

 Daredevil #111 Cover
Like with my rapid reviews, I am going to skip the long intros and just get right to the meat of the post. Ladies and gentlemen, your weekly previews start now!
Daredevil #111
Is it possible for Ed Brubaker to be any cooler? I don’t really think so, and this month, he is introducing a brand new villain to the Marvel universe: Lady Bullseye. I know you may be think that it sounds kind of lame, like Supergirl or Spider-Girl or any of the many other female equivalents to our favorite heroes (for the record, I actually think that the female counterparts are very cool and interesting, but their names are pretty unoriginal). But this is untrue. Brubaker has crafted an all new character that apparently has a very deep and intricate past, which he will explore in the next arc of Daredevil, as he continues to make that one of the best Marvel books.
More previews after the break!
